About K Kong Designs
Principal Designer & Lead Composer
You can take Kristin out of the 70s and 80s, but you can’t remove those iconic decades from her point of view. Bold colors, exaggerated silhouettes, and statement accessories formed her signature style’s foundational elements. Kristin’s firmly-rooted tastes evolved, becoming an ever more sophisticated homage to her most beloved eras. After an initial foray into the world of fashion, Kristin focused her sights on the interior design profession. Today, Kristin likens her interiors to musical compositions where patterns, colors, textures, and scale form intricate melodies. She believes that design should tell a story and that every engaging story should include an element of the unexpected, a dash of dissonance to keep things interesting. Dare we say an A-ha moment?

Design Manager & Lead Choreographer
For Tara, design projects are like elaborate dances. Ideas begin with a sharing of concepts that grow into an increasingly complex set of steps involving an array of allied professionals, trades, manufacturers, installers, and more. While Kristin is writing the music, Tara is taking care of preparations behind the curtain, ensuring everyone knows when to enter and exit the spotlight so clients can relax and enjoy the show.
